IGF 2010 Finalists Announced, More Info on Limbo
As if every other website hasn't already reported this to death, the finalists for the 2010 IGF main competition have been revealed.
There were some expected winners, as well as a few surprises. Quite a few people seem unhappy with the fact that VVVVVVV didn't make it... maybe it's a sign that Ciellus needs to be finished? Hah!

Finally, although still no official news on Limbo, we do get some tidbits from various comments:
Despite the time between there and here, it still offers pretty much exactly what you wanted it to from that first video teaser above: a warmly and softly lit monochromatic world that stands in surprisingly harsh opposition to the cold realities that await your young adventurer within (that bit with the terrifying tree-monster in the video? That doesn't end so well on your first encounter), and a series of delightfully modeled physics-based challenges that give that world real weight.
And if I recall correctly, there was a post (which I can't find now) in this thread mentioning Limbo plays exactly like the teaser video. Now that's a good thing.
In other news, the makers of Limbo seem to be more active in updating their company website.
