Happy New Year, Type-Moon News Catch Up

Happy New Year (to whoever actually comes here)! May this little site be updated more frequently in 2009.

Anyway, the main purpose of this post, aside from the holiday greetings, is to update y'all with some Type-Moon news for the last couple months.

Let's see, first of all, Comiket 75 has come and gone, and there were a variety of TM goods sold. The best of the best, without surprise, came from the TM booth itself:

• CONCEPT artbook [2,000 yen]
• Poster set - 22 posters (150mm x 420mm) [3,500 yen]
• Ryogi Shiki bath towel [4,000 yen]
• AATM2 Neck warmer [2,000 yen]
• AATM2 Paper bag

Ever since C65, when TM started attending Comiket as a commercial entity, every Comiket TM has had a poster for its booth. This summer, TM was banned from Comiket and had to attend the event as a doujin group due to the huge crowd attracted by their booth disrupting order in previous years. This winter, returning to the industry booths, TM has collected all the posters from past attendance as well as other artworks into an artbook called Concept.

Looking at the cover of the book, something interesting comes up. The height of the various TM heroines are: Shiki 160cm, Irisviel 158cm, Rin 159cm, Arcueid 167cm, Saber 154cm and Sakura 158cm. Looking at the artbook's cover, however, Irisviel is around the same height as Arcueid...of course it could just be due to the shoes they're wearing, but still...

Back to topic, the poster set is drawn by TYPE-MOON members and guests, and AATM2 stands for All Around TYPE-MOON 2 -Brand New Heroines-. As for the bath towel...looks like Shiki wasn't able to escape the fate of being stripped...*sigh*

Aside from C75 news, 428 ~Fuusa Sareta Shibuya dee~ (a Wii game) was released last month, and received a perfect score from Famitsu. The game is a visual novel from Chunsoft, and contains a bonus scenario anime created by Type-Moon. An anime adaptation of the bonus scenario, called CANAAN, will be out sometime in 2009.

Finally, Type-Moon Ace 2 will be our later this month, so expect another TM update soon!
